The Grand Banks Schooner Museum Trust was founded in 1981 as a non profit organization to preserve, conserve and educate, for the benefit of the public, through artifacts and knowledge as they pertain to our maritime heritage. To this end the Museum has, since that time, dedicated its resources to the preservation and operation of the vessel Sherman Zwicker, now under the care of the Maritime Foundation, and the Ram Island Light Station.
